What is self-publishing?
Self-publishing is the process of publishing a book exactly as you envision it. You have full creative control and full autonomy over the publishing process.
Why self-publish?
Traditional publishing houses have hundreds of titles to prioritize. It can sometimes take several years from the time your book is accepted for publication until the time it is released.

Editing/Proofreading services
Copyediting is the practice of revising written material to improve its quality in terms of readability, semantics, formatting, spelling, grammar, punctuation, terminology, etc… leads to higher audience engagement. Copyediting helps identify and eliminate grammatical, structural, and factual errors in written material.
Proofreading is the process of reviewing and fixing errors within the typeset book to make sure its grammar, spelling, punctuation, and format are consistent and accurate.
Cover design
Our innovative and experienced designers will take your ideas for the cover of the book and create options for your consideration and acceptance.
Professional and eye-catching cover design is essential for a book to succeed. Your book will be competing against thousands of books in a crowded marketplace, and a great cover will help it to stand out.
Interior Book Design
Professionally formatted text is an important part of book design. A clear hierarchy and readable typeface help create a layout that is inviting to your reader. Every section you include in your manuscript (foreword, dedication, chapters, etc.) will be custom formatted to create a polished book.
We will assist you with obtaining an ISBN number.
What is an ISBN? Every book on the market possesses its own unique ISBN (International Standard Book Number), a numeric identifier used around the world to identify books. If you plan to sell your book in a bookstore, through an online retailer, or to your local library, you will need to have a 13-digit ISBN number assigned to it.
Proofs
Paraclete will provide you with at least 2 rounds of proofs for your approval before sending any files to print.
When our work is complete, you will have a print-ready, professionally designed file.
Printing options
Print-on-demand vs. traditional printing
POD or print-on-demand is a process for creating a book with little to no waste. Instead of printing thousands of copies of your book, print-on-demand creates the product as it is ordered.
Paraclete will assist with uploading files and setting up your own POD account with Amazon.
Traditional book printing quotes are also available upon request.
Costs
The costs involved in self-publishing are based on the unique aspects of each author’s vision. After listening to your vision and reading your manuscript, our team will draft an itemized proposal for your review. Work will begin on your book upon signing the final proposal.
